Note: After this story ran, I received an e-mail from a reader who said the now-closed cafe that I identified as being a former Stuckey’s — the roadside shops known for their kitsch and pecan logs — was never a Stuckey’s. Of course, my memory of this comes from when I was about 8 years old, but if you have any information on this, please let me know... I remember the Stuckey’s, and the building certainly looks like one.

Wine, Cheese and Streetcars: In southern Riverside County is a great drive running from a haven for old streetcars, through a wild west town and by a cheese factory, ending in wine country. Ran Saturday, Sept. 25.

Looping Around Ramona: Just a few minutes off of one of San Diego’s busiest freeways — Interstate 15 — is an agricultural preserve and a twisty highway. We’ll take this to lovely Ramona, then check out some historic highways. Ran Saturday, August 28.
